Confederation of Indian Industry Telangana, a trade body on Wednesday organised the 19th edition of Man’Exe, 2023, in Hyderabad. The theme of the manufacturing excellence Conference was, “Next Generation Manufacturing: Data-driven Decision-Making and Smart Factory.” Addressing the inaugural session, Dr Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, ITEC Departments, Government of Telangana stressed on the importance of adoption of new-generation technology by MSME’s. ‘Technology is crucial for the growth and competitiveness of MSMEs. Embracing digitalisation, automation, and innovative technologies can improve productivity, expand market reach, and enhance operational efficiency for MSMEs,” Dr Ranjan said.
He also mentioned that during covid, the Government of Telangana recognised the need to embrace digital tools and technologies and supported the local Kirana Stores, in their digital transformation efforts. He informed about the World Bank’s support through the RAMP (Reform, Perform, and Transform) initiative to the Government of India (GoI). ‘RAMP is designed to support reforms, enhance the performance of various sectors, and drive transformative changes in the Indian economy. The World Bank has requested all State governments to submit proposals outlining their specific development needs and priorities, aligning them with the overarching goals of RAMP. I seek CII Telangana’s support in gathering the challenges faced by industry and submit the same for the Government to include in the proposal and come up with the solutions for these problems,’ he added.
